Now this is just all sorts of crazy. The rising Chicago hip-hop/rock band's anticipated project Trap House Rock drops this Fall and the group will be hitting the road with Asher Roth and Chuck Inglish in November.
Here we have some previously unreleased fire from Evidence and Planet Asia...
Why did I choose to blend a Japanese Folk Song that I learned in first grade with Escapades Of Futura 2000? The answer is,"I was stoned." Called Planet Asia over to body the beat on verse 2. Twiz The Beat Pro made this in 2011. Pulled it out of the vaults for you to peep. Hope you enjoy. - Evidence
Gangsta Gibbs is back with his highly anticipated Gangsta Grillz project Baby Face Killah with production and features from SMKA, Cookin' Soul, Statik Selektah, Jadakiss, Jay Rock, Curren$y, Dom Kennedy, Krayzie Bone, Young Jeezy and more. You can stream/download the mixtape below or you can support an artist whose given us more than enough free music by copping the tagless, HQ version with bonus tracks and a digital booklet on iTunes.
Two mixtapes in as many months from the usually elusive Chicago emcee Mikkey Halsted? No complaints here. This one is a collaborative effort with producer The Legendary Traxster and contains features from Twista, King L, BJ The Chicago Kid and more.
After taking a hiatus from rap to pursue other endeavors the man known as CurT@!n$ is officially back in the game with the release of his new 23 EP. The project stands at just six tracks but it's quality over quantity in the Winner's Circle and 23 certainly meets that description.
After shedding some light on his label situation and the indefinite delay of his sophomore album Asher Roth proceeds to perform verses from "Bastermating", "Rik Smits" & "In The Kitchen" backed by a three piece band that adds a smooth, jazzy vibe to his music. You'll be able to see Asher and the band live in person soon as he just announced he'll be going on tour with Chi-town acts Chuck Inglish and Kids These Days beginning in November.
Chi-town's finest Mikkey Halsted just blessed us with Castro last month and is already back working on a joint project, MMM Season, with producer The Legendary Traxstar. Here goes the first leak from MMM Season and also below is a new freestyle from Mikkey over the "Clique" beat.
The newest signee to Tech N9ne's Strange Music label links up with rising songstress Nikkiya to film some black and white visuals for "Paradise" off the extremely dope White Jesus: Revival. Rittz recently embarked on the Slumerican Tour with Yelawolf hit the jump to see the full list of dates.
Atlanta's own Scotty throws another wild house party and this time invited Playboy Tre, SL Jones and many more to join in the festivities. Scotty continues to deliver new music and fresh visuals on the regular and if you missed it make sure to check out his latest effort The Jiffy Cornbread Experience.
Bonus: Scotty - Last Goodbye
A Yeezy-less G.O.O.D. Music stopped by Funkmaster Flex's neighborhood and traded verses over Freeway's "What We Do" and Biggie's "Who Shot Ya" instrumentals. Not sure why Pusha decided not to rap gotta say that's pretty lame.
It more than baffles me that at this point Riff Raff is a semi-relevant rapper and the fact that he's in the studio with The Alchemist just made me throw up in my mouth. That being said, there's no denying this guy's comedic value and listening to him and Bronsolino go back and forth about their fictional elementary/high school days is nothing short of hysterical.
For the latest leak off Buddy's upcoming debut project Idle Time he enlists the services of the man who signed him to his i am OTHER imprint. This song definitely has that Pharrell vibe to it and Buddy makes himself right at home with an impressive second verse. Look out for Idle Time coming soon.
STL emcee WhiteOut showcases his skills in this high-quality video alongside fellow member of The Force Tef Poe. "Feel Like I Do" can be found on WhiteOut's latest offering Kush & Kung Fu and as a bonus check out Poebama's freestyle over Chief Keef's "I Don't Like" below.
Its been a minute since we've heard some new Dope Boy C and what better way for the Brooklyn emcee to return than with this ScHoolBoy Q assisted jam. Hopefully this song is a sign that CurT@!n$ long awaited project Diors & Jordans is coming soon.
Before Talib Kweli unleashes his highly anticipated album Prisoner Of Consciousness he linked up with Z-Trip to release thia mixtape with features from Black Thought, Styles P, Posdnuos, Lil Weezy, Mac Meezy and more.

When I heard there's an artist hailing from the East Side of Harlem with a Hell Rell co-sign I expected to hear some slick yet gritty, soundtrack to the streets type music and I gotta say after giving this a few listens Knocka delivers on all fronts here. First he rocks over a beat sampling The Fugees' "Ready Or Not" before going acapella with the great Ruga Rell standing by, nodding his head in approval throughout.
Stalley has decided to revive his Songs By Me, Stalley series and for the first release he enlists frequent collaborator Rashad for the hook and Taylor Gang famed producer Cardo on the beat. This is some perfect outdoor weather music for your Labor Day weekend festivities.
